This project was one of the first I completed while studying. This taught me the iterative nature of design, introduced modelling, and allowed me to apply my newly-acquired sketching and rendering skills. The task was to design a microphone for Ed Sheeran.
Starting with concept generation, a range of initial ideas were sketched based on research.
5 promising designs were chosen to be developed, modelled and iterated based on feedback from others.
3 designs of variety were then chosen: one conservative, one moderate, one radical. These were remodelled and critiqued again. You can see my sketching got much neater across the course of this project.
Finally, the three ideas were refined into presentation format and presented to the class.
